We can't believe that there is less than one week to go until the baby is due. Where has the time gone? Jane has been filling her time folding and re-folding onesies and encouraging Josh to open the baby's closet 'just for a look'. The hospital bag is now packed, so we are ready to go anytime.We are crossing our fingers for a birthday of July 17th or 18th for a couple of reasons:
1. We would rather not have the baby arrive on our wedding anniversary of July 16th. Two days of cake and celebration in the month of July are more fun than one!
2. Josh's stingy employer will only allow 3 days off at the birth of a child, so we are hoping for a Tuesday night/Wednesday morning - allowing for the weekend can easily be tacked on.
3. We have a lot of social things going on this coming weekend, and we want it to be our last chance to be selfish parents!

I can't believe you are hoping to go past your due date! You must be feeling really good...I can't wait to get this baby out! Good luck with having the baby on the days you have planned out :)
I was hoping for Canada day myself...yet here I am still pregnant!
Jane, although for selfish reasons, was also hoping you went right on schedule!!! 3 weeks sounds easier then 2!
I also think it would be sorta romantic for the baby to be born exactly on your wedding anniversary! And....lets be practical..it does mean one less date to remember!
Overall its just fantastically exciting that you will be a mom that soon...
