Road Trip!

This past weekend, we went down to Massachusetts to visit The Henrys and The Pinets. Martha and Chris asked Jane and Josh to be Kate's godparents, so we were all really excited to visit and be part of her baptism.

Here's Isaac en route Friday night.
He thought eating supper in the car was hilarious. He hasn't gotten his canines yet...that's just a Cheerio peeking out of his mouth.

Jane kept Isaac company in the backseat for part of the drive.

Kate, Isaac, and Jack got reacquainted in their PJs on Saturday morning

Beautiful Kate

Josh mowed the lawn on Saturday morning, while Chris did some gardening and Jane and Martha did some errands. Josh is now more convinced than ever that we need a ride-on.

Kate is accustomed to having Jack as company in the backseat, but Isaac thought it was a real treat to have Kate back there...and rear-facing like him!

Josh and Jack played some basketball on Saturday afternoon.

Jack and Isaac shared a chair while we enjoyed a bonfire on Saturday night.

We spent much of our time outside on the great patio/outdoor kitchen. Chris has done an awesome job chipping away at this project for the last couple summer. Jane is thinking about sending Josh to be his apprentice and pick up some of his handiness!

(Yes, that's a sink and a dishwasher outside. Do we wish that we had this back yard? YES, SIR!)

We had breakfast outdoors on Sunday morning, so we were all in pyjamas. Breakfast quickly turned into playing. Here's Jack!
(3-year-old + jelly donut + fresh cut grass = messy hands!)
Isaac loveloveLOVED the swing in the Henry's yard. Here he is enjoying it (complete in PJs) after breakfast on Sunday morning.

*We don't have any photos of the actual baptism because our camera time was slim between Godparenting and keeping Isaac occupied. Mary - can you send us whatever ones are circulating? Thanks!*

After Kate's baptism on Sunday afternoon, Chris and Martha hosted everyone at their house.
Here are Sage and Vin, keeping Kate company in her exersaucer.

Isaac and Vin were too cool to get into the exersaucer, but they played with the toys when Kate was elsewhere.

Some firsts are more exciting than others. On our way home, Isaac had his first experience in a restaurant high chair. (We don't get out much...HA!)

Just before this, Isaac had his first experience riding in the children's' seat on a shopping cart, but we didn't really realise it was a 'first' until after and didn't take a photo.

Isaac, en route home, checking out one of his favourite people in the mirror.

And last and least relevant, Josh thoroughly enjoyed this bumper-sticker we spotted on the I-95
